Foster home situation

After being rescued from the streets with my siblings and mum, we were taken to our first foster home. I stayed there alongside 22 other cats and 5 dogs. While the foster parents were kind and caring, they eventually tried to place me with a family that had small children and an old tomcat who wouldn’t leave me alone. I returned to the first foster home, completely terrified of everyone and everything. Their next attempt was to find me a home without children or other cats, and with an experienced cat owner who could understand my needs.

Finding my final forever home

After spending another six months at the foster home, they finally found me my forever home. A wonderful cat-loving couple (though the husband didn’t realize yet how much he’d come to adore me), step-grandparents, two cozy houses, several terraces, and a huge connected garden in a quiet little village with barely any cars. It sounds like paradise, doesn’t it? But what’s the point of terraces, gardens, and freedom when you’ve forgotten—after those first two months of life struggling on the streets—that the “outside world” even exists?
